It is one of paradox, contrast, transition and evolution, literally and figuratively.
Musically, he experiments with combining different time signatures, mixes both major and minor modes, uses interesting combinations of melody and countermelody to create counterpoint and juxtaposition of opposing sections within the overall compositions.
