Angels and the holidays

And as you continue into the new year, remember that your guardian angels are always there waiting for your requests.

by Tom T. Moore —

The month of December is generally viewed as a great month for parties, dinners with friends and reunions with families. But it can be a highly stressful time when you are in charge of the dinner, have to travel, or you and your family are worlds apart in lifestyles and/or beliefs.

The following tips and suggestions can make this season much less stressful and a lot more pleasurable.

You might try requesting benevolent outcomes from your guardian angel. After having made these requests between 10,000 and 15,000 times over the years, I firmly believe that our guardian angels assist us in living gentler lives. We just have to ask. For example, if you are hosting a party, consider saying, “I request a most benevolent outcome that the food I prepare will be perfect for my guests, and that our time spent together will be enjoyable. Thank you.”

If you must travel during the holidays, there are a variety of requests you can make for benevolent outcomes:

  • That the drive to the airport or the place you are going will be safe and free of traffic.
  • That your luggage will arrive safely and on time.
  • That you speed through the security line with no delays.
  • That your plane and any connections you make will be on time.
  • That you sit next to someone interesting; or, if you need to sleep, next to someone who will not want to talk.
  • That your friends or family are on time to meet you, and easy to find.

You can request a benevolent outcome that your visit with your family or acquaintances be cordial and pleasant. Say something like, “I ask that during the time I am at (name the location), my experience be delightful. Thank you.” This may seem like you are asking a lot in some instances, but do not be afraid to ask for the impossible. You can even request benevolent outcomes for safety for yourself and children, if the circumstances warrant.

And as you continue into the new year, remember that your guardian angels are always there waiting for your requests.
