Fix your face with hypnosis

Holistic practitioners have been teaching for a very long time that what affects one part of us affects the whole of us. A massive amount of information exists regarding the effects of the brain and mind on every facet of our being.

Before you read the article below, please do the following short exercise.

Take a long, slow, deep breath in through your nose, and slowly exhale through your mouth. As you exhale, relax all the muscles in your face — relax your forehead and the tiny muscles around your eyes. Relax your jaw and chin. Even relax your ears. Let all the muscles in your face become limp and relaxed — let the tension go.

You may have to do this a couple of times. Now, notice the difference in the way your face feels. Were you aware of a change in the muscles of your face, from tense to relaxed? Did some of those evil wrinkles smooth out simply from the release of the tension you were holding in your face?

One leading cosmetics company recently announced a product named Hypnotherapy, a “psychodermic anti-age care product.” The company’s product announcement states: “The skin and the brain are closely linked in origin — the same embryonic tissue — and the contact they maintain — the same tiny messengers called neuromediators — ensure close, constant communication between nerve fibers and skin cells. Any so-called ‘mental’ aggression or unease leads the skin to appear to age prematurely. When the brain suffers ‘psychologically,’ the skin suffers ‘physically.’ It feels and looks more aged.” (Orlane, Paris)

The cosmetics company has recognized that hypnosis relieves the brain and lightens psychological suffering and, in turn, reduces aging. They claim their product offers the same benefits.

This is not a new concept. Holistic practitioners have been teaching for a very long time that what affects one part of us affects the whole of us. A massive amount of information exists regarding the effects of the brain and mind on every facet of our being.

Science has now proven this relationship and we have new names for it. Psychobiology, psychoneuroimmunology, psychoimmunology and psychokinesis are only a few of them, each one indicating that the mind has a powerful influence over the body, its immune system and its responses. The brain and the mind do affect our faces, and simultaneously affect every other cell in our body as well. It’s a clear case of mind over membrane.

Many expensive new drugs and treatments have been designed to calm the brain and the mind, yet we continue to become more and more stressed by our lifestyles, our environment, the constant bombardment of negative news and all the other things that impact us. Not to mention that we’ve added several new stressors — drug reactions, side effects and overdoses.

Hypnosis, a tool without side effects, helps you work with your subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy is the healing tool that helps you find and relieve core issues that push you past your stress threshold, causing your body to age more rapidly.

If the skincare product Hypnotherapy retards aging of the face, what can real hypnotherapy do for you?

Take a nice, long, slow, deep breath in through your nose; hold the breath and breathe it out with a nice, long sigh, letting relaxation go all the way down through your body to your toes.

Now, do you not feel younger all over?
