Healing with sound

In ancient times and across all cultures, we find many references to sound playing a part in healing.

by Sunanda Harrell-Stokes —

Every cell in our body is a sound resonator. Every cell lives in a rhythmic pattern. Each organ has its own cycle and its own pulse. Each system has a cycle, rhythm, pattern and pulse. We exist in a world of vibration.

Sound healing seeks to harmonize, balance and reconnect the individual with the natural rhythms, pulses and cycles of our world.

In ancient times and across all cultures, we find many references to sound playing a part in healing. Today, many of us have lost our awareness of the rhythms and cycles of nature. This alienation or disharmony manifests as imbalance and disease of the body and its systems.

Acutonics® applies tuning forks to acupuncture and acupressure point combinations, as well as trigger points and the chakras. Like acupuncture, this work influences the body’s energy. It helps choreograph that energy, which allows other therapies to penetrate more deeply.

Each of the Acutonics tuning forks is calibrated to a specific frequency, and these forks are used in combination to create a harmonic resonance that can reach deep into the tissues of the body and support healing at the cellular level. The technique is used to treat muscular skeletal pain, allergies, MS, neuropathies, addictions, weight loss, stress, migraines and gynecological disorders, as a support for cancer therapies and more.

Acutonics can be combined with Kita Sound Healing, a technique developed in Japan. Kita Sound Healing applies a vibrating pad — a transformer — that massages the meridian pathways with specific vibratory frequencies to balance, harmonize, relieve stress and provide an experience of deep peace.

Sound waves vibrate and travel deeply into the body along energy pathways, affecting human physiology and reaching places not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Applying the Kita transformer or the Acutonics forks stimulates and balances the body’s physical and subtle energy field. The use of acupuncture and harmonic medicine together can result in accelerated rates of healing.

This address one of the key issues that contribute to much chronic disease — stress, a tough one for most people to address. There is no convenient pill for it. Centuries ago, stress was punctuation to the daily routine. Today, hectic schedules and long to-do lists make stress an everyday component of life. Sound and vibratory frequencies address stress on an energetic level.
