The hidden healers

It is said that we only evolve as much as our least-evolved part.

by Tracy Minton —

Over the past few decades, scientists have demonstrated the negative effects of stress on both physical and mental health. Is our well-being inextricably linked to external circumstances beyond our control? Or do we have untapped resources within that we can employ to help us manage the stressors that are natural to the human experience, all the while maintaining optimal health?

Dr. Martin Hart, founder and president of the American Society of Alternative Therapists (ASAT™), created his Holistic C.O.R.E. Counseling program to inspire people to create exceptional lives through conscious choice and transformation. He teaches that each of us has all the raw materials and tools required for the conscious manifestation of our desires, and a more magical and elegant approach to healing.

C.O.R.E. is an acronym for conscious, ownership, retrieval/release and engage. It is a system that helps us navigate the natural occurrence of our emotions, without feeling overwhelmed and out of control. According to Hart, it is a matter of who is driving the car.

C.O.R.E. counselors help clients recognize which parts of us are being triggered by other people or events, while remembering that we are greater than our parts. Learning how to respond consciously, versus reacting unconsciously, helps us regain a feeling of dominion over our lives. We are initiated on a path of discovery within to begin healing our old emotions of shame and guilt, as well as the perception that we are intrinsically flawed.

It is said that we only evolve as much as our least-evolved part. When we allow these suppressed parts of ourselves to surface, formerly lost energy and joy are liberated for retrieval. Left unattended, these emotions become hidden killers and drain our inherent vitality, personal power and resources required to heal, manifest our desires and enjoy our lives.

Many schools of thought believe that our physical symptoms arise as a result of ignoring the messages we continually receive through our feelings and emotions. By learning to become conscious of our needs and healthier ways to process our emotions, we may be able to mitigate the effects of current diseases affecting us and even prevent the occurrence of disease, altogether.

Hart likens the C.O.R.E. Counseling system to a map that can guide clients to create a resonance with their future selves who already have what they desire, while monitoring the parts that will naturally arise in an attempt to hold us back. A certified C.O.R.E. counselor/educator assists clients using guided visualization, a special core-energy alignment and other techniques that are both educational and empowering.

The counseling inspires living with greater ease and elegance. With map in hand, your journey begins toward your awakening heart, where infinite possibilities, joy and magic await. What are you waiting for?
