Appreciate and use the beauty of nature around you to help with aesthetics and to bring good feng shui to your home and life.

by Joy Abrams —

Spring brings the beauty of nature to our thoughts. In the Five Elements Theory of feng shui, the wood element is represented by trees and plants. They are needed to correct imbalances of energy outside your home. Your feng shui master can help bring balance to you and your space.

Here are some things you can do to increase the chi or energy on your property:

  • Large trees that are taller than the structure can be placed in front of the house to act as virtual mountains.
  • Tall trees can also be placed on the sides of the house to give support to the structure.
  • Bushes and thick plantings can be strategically placed to surround the property and shore up energy that would otherwise fly away.
  • Planting a hedge in the back of the property can help bring good chi closer to you and your home.
  • Large trees partially blocking the front door do not allow good chi to enter and should be cut back.
  • Using trees properly can bring balance to a pie-shaped lot.

Appreciate and use the beauty of nature around you to help with aesthetics and to bring good feng shui to your home and life.
