As you approach your house, notice the condition of the streets, driveways and walkways that lead there.

by Joy Abrams —

Do you feel energized when you approach your neighborhood and the street where you live? Do you sigh with relief and pleasure as you enter your neighborhood? If you do, you know that your home is in harmony with you and your environment.

The direction from which you approach your house can greatly influence the way you feel, as different directions contribute to different energies and feelings.

When you are approaching your home from an easterly direction, you are facing the energy of the sun which is eager, enthusiastic and hopeful. Approaching your home from the westerly direction is the direction of the setting sun. It represents the direction of children and entertainment. If you are approaching from the north, you may be preoccupied with money issues and keeping up with the neighbors, or you may be overly concerned with your business. Approaching your home from the southerly direction can make you more philosophical about life.

As you approach your house, notice the condition of the streets, driveways and walkways that lead there. Streets that are broken and messy can cause problems. Damaged streets prohibit good chi from entering the buildings.

In feng shui, the approach to your home is an important factor that will help you feel in harmony with your environment and resonate with the flow of chi that is abundant and healthy for you.
